Longbox Graveyard comic book podcast appearances.

We Talk 4 Seconds!

The Longbox Graveyard Podcast may be a thing of the past, but we didn’t miss a beat when I reunited with the We Talk Comics podcast crew to discuss my original digital comics story, 4 Seconds!

4 Seconds

4 Seconds is FREE to read at Mark Waid’s Thrillbent!

We talked about the origins and potential future of 4 Seconds, and spun out in the usual way about all things comics, past and present.

They put me on the spot by asking who was my favorite Spider-Man writer, too. Want to hear my trick answer? Then mouse on over to We Talk Comics right now, and give a listen!

We Talk Comics

Thanks to the whole We Talk Comics crew for having me on the show!

4 Seconds Is On The Air!

Frequent Longbox Graveyard contributor Dean Compton and co-host Emily Scott were kind enough to have me on Her Dork World/His Dork World to discuss my new digital comic, 4 Seconds!

4 Seconds

4 Seconds is still FREE to read online at Thrillbent.com!

The show was broadcast LIVE on Voc Nation last week … but if you missed the show, you can stream it right here.

Dean, Emily, and I discussed the creation of 4 Seconds, Marvel’s recent re-launch, the future of comic books, and more!

Voc Nation

Thanks to Dean and Emily for having me on the show … and be sure to check back here next week, when Dean Compton returns to Longbox Graveyard with another appreciation of his favorite comics character, the Punisher!

Unspeakable!

This week I was a guest on The Unspoken Decade podcast!

The Unspoken Decade

Longbox Graveyard fans will remember that the Unspoken Decade is the blogging home of Dean Compton, a frequent Longbox Graveyard contributor. Over at the Unspoken Decade, Dean talks all things nineties in the world of comics.

so very 90s

so very 90s!

Our podcast was a good-natured point/counterpoint of the relative merits of 1990s vs. 1970s comics.

Give it a listen!

Thanks, Dean, for having this Bronze Age relic on your show! Kinda grim to be the “old guy” in a conversation where the newest ideas on offer are already a quarter-century old … but that comes with the kit, given that I permanently reside in the year of 1978!

(And remember that you can listen to all my various podcast appearances on the Longbox Graveyard Podcast page!)

Marvelous Mythology

Several days ago I had the pleasure of participating in a podcast with my old pals over at the We Talk Podcasts network.

Marvelous Mythology

The topic was Marvelous Mythology, a new book by Todd Frye, which recounts the origins of the Marvel Universe. The We Talk Comics crew was kind enough to have me on the show as a guest expert on Silver Age Marvel Comics as we interviewed Todd about his book.

It was great to be on a podcast again. Thanks to Mo at We Talk Comics for having me on! You can listen to the podcast here, and don’t forget that all of my podcast appearances are archived on my podcast page!

Old Vampires Never Die …!

It’s only taken two decades, but the publicity campaign for the two issues of Rune that I wrote is finally hotting up!

That’s right! Two issues of Rune (that I blogged about writing, HERE) were recently the subject of not one; and not TWO; but THREE podcasts by the illustrious Professor Alan!

You can listen to Prof Alan’s assessment of Rune #4 HERE.

Rune Volume 2, #4

And you can listen to Prof Alan’s review of Rune #5 HERE.

Rune Vol. 2 #5

And then you can listen to Prof Alan interview ME about both those books (and other comics stuff, besides) HERE!

And for a really deep dive, be sure to check out my original comic scripts for these issues of Rune!

Barry Windsor-Smith's Rune

There you have it … all the Rune you can stand … and a blast from the past in the form of a contemporary interview about work I did in the 1990s. Gotta love the internet! And you gotta love Prof Alan for exhuming my stuff from the Quarter Bin.

Thanks, Prof!
