This month’s unsolicited and semi-random Longbox Graveyard plug is for Validation!

Validation is a free web comic by Christian Beranek and Kelci Crawford. It is the story of Ally, a transgender girl doing her best to live a fulfilling day-to-day life.

The three-panel strip is 140-odd installments long as of this writing. I binged out the first hundred or so in a sitting, and have kept up with the story as it has come out since, published twice a week like clockwork. I’m always pleased to see a new installment of Validation pop up in my RSS feed … it is a departure from the usual superhero fare I obsess over here at Longbox Graveyard, but I’ve found this a sweet story that has helped me better understand the transgender experience.
