A flaming skull DOES forgive many sins! Hilariously true insight from your Ghost Rider #1 write-up.
If you haven’t already, you should check out the things Garth Ennis and Clayton Crain have done with Ghost Rider, and later, Jason Aaron. The Aaron run is already a little fuzzy for me, but I know it included Ketch and Blaze together. The Ennis stuff was all very Heaven and Hell, angels and demons type of stuff, which I personally LOVE. The art had its share of incredible visuals, but plenty of pitfalls. Either way, Ennis’ Ghost Rider minis (I think there were two; one definitely called “Trail of Tears”) is one part of my collection that I can say confidently say won’t be dissected for collages anytime soon.

Thanks for the Ghost Rider recommendations. I’ve wanted to read some more recent takes on the character — the original series, I am afraid, doesn’t even rise to the level of being a guilty pleasure. Unfortunately, Ghost Rider coverage is patchy on Marvel’s digital service, but I will take a look for the titles you mention!
