There’s been a general “power creep” with all of Marvel’s heroes down through the ages (remember when Captain America was just an acrobat with a shield?) but the Hulk does seem to have been distorted more than most. As the (theoretically) strongest character in the Marvel Universe, any time someone weaker than him gets a power boost, the Hulk needs to make corresponding gains.
