Longbox Graveyard Podcast: “The Dark Knight Rises”

The Eighth Longbox Graveyard Podcast Is Here!

It’s a new year, a new month, and an all-new Longbox Graveyard Podcast!

This month I review The Dark Knight Rises … except not really. This isn’t a movie review so much as it’s a look at why certain movies can come to mean so much to us. It could as easily be about Avengers or Phantom Menace or The Hobbit — all these pictures have their hooks in us!

The Dark Knight Rises

For what it is worth, I was pretty disappointed by Dark Knight Rises, but what really puzzled me was why that disappointment had such an outsized impact on me. I try to get to the bottom of it in this podcast.

Thanks to Mo Kristiansen at the We Talk Podcasts network for hosting the Longbox Graveyard Podcast! For prior podcasts, be sure to check out my podcast page.

  1. I loved Dark Knight Rises, and The Hobbit! But it’s true these movies have highly affected our lives, but well who cares J

    • Despite my essays here at Longbox Graveyard (which might indicate the opposite), the older I get, the less I try to dissect the things I love. If it gives you joy, then more power to you.

I’ve come around (a bit) on Dark Knight rises. It’s not a bad thing to be my third favorite Batman film.

      Thanks for posting!
