Longbox Graveyard Podcast: “The Curse of the Marvel Value Stamp”
The Sixth Longbox Graveyard Podcast Is Here!
This podcasting thing is getting to be a habit.
This month’s experiment in audio terror is about Marvel Value Stamps — those valueless psuedo-coupons from 1970s Marvel Comics that promised much but led only to ruin. The bane of Bronze Age collectors everywhere!
Tune in to see which priceless comic book treasure I mutilated in pursuit of fake stamp glory. Hint: it features the first full appearance of the most important Marvel character of the last forty years!

I almost had a heart attack just from the description; this should have been a Halloween podcast! On a related note, the old Dick Tracy strips ran the same fake stamps in the 30s. Kinda funny how the medium recycles these strange ideas.

Then it’s a good thing I never collected Dick Tracy, as I certainly would have cut those up, too!
Thanks for listening to the podcast!
