Longbox Graveyard 
Nice gallery. Makes me want to dig out my old Warlocks. It was really cool seeing Thanos at the end of the Avengers, but I was kinda hoping for Kang. But I LOVED the movie. I Can’t wait to see where they go with it.

Kang was a favorite Marvel villain back in the day, though maybe (just slightly) less approachable than Thanos. I was hoping for Ultron, but that would require the Hank Pym/Vision story too, and those chess pieces haven’t been deployed yet.
Thanos is a terrific consolation prize — I’ve been obsessed with Thanos since I was a bitter teenage boy, cloistered in my room and wishing death on the universe. I am 100% on board with Thanos in the next movie, and will be revisiting the big purple Titan here in the blog. I’ll have a review of Infinity Gauntlet in a couple weeks, and in addition to this Panel Gallery remember I’ve already looked at Thanos in my reviews of Captain Marvel and Warlock.

You mentioned Hank Pym up there.. isn’t there an Ant-Man movie in the works at Marvel? If they tie that in, then Ultron could become a movie villain in the not too distant future. Ant-Man seems like such a long shot as a movie, it almost baffles me that they would consider it, but if there’s a bigger picture tie in back to the Avengers, then I’m all for it. As for Kang, I would absolutely LOVE for that to be a future villain in the movies, in fact, I sorely wish they had kicked off the franchise with him, but oh well, they are developing a story line based on what they’ve established so far.. so in time.. 🙂

Yes, there is a long-gestating Ant Man project that appears to be moving forward at Marvel. It’s helmed by Edgar Wright, who did Sean of the Dead, so they might be going for a comedy/action vibe (which would seem to exclude an Ultron story). Too soon to tell.
Marvel would be wise to develop additional characters to fill the void in Avengers sequels when guys like Robert Downey Junior inevitably become too expense for an ensemble picture.
